hotplate can be added—ready to use at short notice. Similar boiling time to a
electric kettle. Available for the left hob only in 1.6kW & 3.0kW.

control, with inner and outer ring mode depending on the size of the pan.

Flue Options – Or None at All
Retaining an Existing Flue (For Oil or Gas Conversions) When converting an existing oil- or gas-fired Aga, it is possible to vent through the original flue if preferred.

Aga Electric Conversion Process – What to Expect
To install the ElectricKit conversion, your Aga will undergo a full rebuild to accommodate the new internal electrical components. This ensures optimal efficiency, safety, and long-term performance.
Step-by-Step Conversion Overview:
1. Dismantling & Removal:
- The Aga is fully dismantled
- Existing vermiculite insulation, the cast iron ashpit, and the outer barrel are removed, as they are no longer required.
2. Preparation:
- The top oven is removed and prepped for the new ElectricKit system.
- Heating elements are carefully installed above, between, and below the ovens.
3. Insulation Upgrade:
- Modern ceramic fibre insulation blankets are wrapped around the ovens to enhance heat retention and energy efficiency.
4. Hotplate Replacement:
- Both traditional hotplates are replaced with specially designed hotplates that contain built-in electric heating elements. Or Boiling plate replaced with induction hob, left side only.
5. Control Installation:
- All electrics are installed and connected, including the digital control panel, which allows
precise temperature settings.
6. Reassembly:
- The Aga is fully reassembled, now functioning as a high-efficiency, electric Aga cooker with modern controls and reduced running costs.
Electrical Requirements
To power your converted Aga, the following electrical setup is required:
Power Supply Options
1 x 32amp fused switched spurs (standard 2-oven models and some 4 oven models) This will increase according to extra options e.g. Electric Advance, 3.0kw. Induction hob and 4-oven models, with all options will require up to 45-amp supply.
Installation Details
following a site visit and options confirmed a required electrical supply required will be confirmed. This to be made ready by your local qualified electrician before installation.
The connection point should be positioned to the left or right of the Aga (not behind it) to allow for safe and accessible installation.
If you Aga currently heats hot water this will need to be disconnected (electric conversion don’t heat hot water) and your heating system adjust accordingly by your local plumber.
If you Aga is currently supplied with gas this will need to be disconnect prior installation by your gas safe engineer, oil supply disconnection will part of the installation.
